Warrant #26-84471 was issued following a two-month investigation into Curtis Renner, a known narcotics distributor believed to be operating out of the coastal district. Surveillance and a confidential source placed Renner at 118 Marrow Street on multiple occasions before the property was flagged as vacant in county records. The warrant authorized search of the premises for controlled substances, packaging materials, and related evidence.
Units breached the front entrance at 1614 HRS. Two occupants were located inside: Danielle Ford, 29, and Kayla Munsey, 31. Neither had prior residence listed at the address. A quantity of suspected narcotics, consistent with mid-level distribution weight, was recovered from a floor cavity beneath the rear bedroom.
Both women were detained without incident. During interview, both stated they had been living in the structure for approximately three weeks after losing housing. Neither claimed ownership of the narcotics. Ford stated the substances were already concealed in the house when they began staying there, and that she and Munsey had discovered the cavity by accident while repairing a section of flooring.
Munsey’s account was consistent with Ford’s. She further stated that the two had been “trying to figure out how to get rid of it without getting hurt,” citing fear that whoever left the narcotics would return for them. Neither woman could positively identify Renner from a photo array, though Ford stated a man matching his general description had come to the house twice in the past month, both times after dark, and had not entered.
Renner has not been taken into custody as of this filing. His last confirmed location predates the warrant by several weeks. The residence showed no signs of recent adult occupancy beyond what was consistent with Ford and Munsey’s stated timeline.
Ford and Munsey were transported and processed on possession charges pending further review by the DA’s office. Both cooperated fully throughout.
CLOSING NOTE
The structure at 118 Marrow Street remains under county condemnation and has been resealed. Whether Renner intends to return for what was left behind is, as of this filing, unknown.
